Factory Cracked Floor

Problem
Approximately 3000m2 concrete factory floor had been poorly installed and due to the heavy fork lift traffic, it developed large areas where it cracked.
Scope of Works
The heavily cracked factory concrete floor was assessed by Envirocon Solutions to see if it could be repaired. If it couldn’t, the alternative would be to cut out and replace the heavily cracked section of the concrete. This would be at a far greater expense, than the solution we proposed.
It was decided that the cracks would have epoxy injection carried out. As a result of this factory being in constant use, a safety plan was implemented whereby sections of the factory were cordoned off so works could take place. We also coordinated with the tenants where we came in every second week so as to not unduly interrupt their business.
